History

Arlington Middle School was originally built as Arlington High School as a WPA Project, and was rechristened Arlington Junior High School when the high school moved to its current location on Route 55 in LaGrange in 1961. The tile work in the boy's locker room showers is one of the few remaining markings of that time, with the letters A H S included in the pattern of the tile work, along with "Arlington High School" inscribed over the building entrance into the gymnasium.
